How to get to the Park?

ACCESS: Drive up Ariz. 64 from I-40. For the South Rim: Train service is available via Amtrak on the Southwest Chief to Williams. Train service is also available from Williams via the Grand Canyon Railway. Greyhound bus service is available through Flagstaff with connecting shuttles. Shuttles are also available from the North and South Rims.

Where to stay?

ACCOMOCATIONS: While you're there, stay at El Tovar Hotel , an extremely cozy and beautiful haven. Or in a sweet little cabin at Phantom Ranch ... For reservations go to Grand Canyon Lodges.

For a wilder experience, you also have the option of Camping ! The park has more than 500 campsites! Call 877-444-6777 or online at Grand Canyon Camping to reserve a spot at one of two campgrounds:

-Mather Campground on the South Rim (year-round)

-North Rim Campground (mid-May through October)

There's a third campground--Desert View (May to mid-Oct). You can make a reservation there though. It's first-come first-served.
